We went back for dinner the very next night and got the Fried Green Tomatoes and Baja Shrimp Tacos. This time I got the Baja Crawfish Tacos and they were delicious. I forgot to keep the receipt so I could remember our server's name but I believe it was Ciciley who took great care of us. The open air deck, music and being by the water was perfect. Love this place!

We were in town for our anniversary and looking at reviews of somewhere new to try since we did live here 7 years ago. We kept seeing The Shack come up and when we looked at the map we realized we had been there once when we first moved. We had an ok experience. Saying that we decided to go give it a try again since the reviews were so positive and boy am I glad we did! This time the experience was amazing! We had a lovely server named Whitney who was so kind and helpful with any question we had! She recommended dishes for us to try and checked in frequently to see how we were doing. At the end of our meal she brought me a to-go cup without me even asking and I love that attention to detail! As for the food- we started with the Fried Green Tomatoes- they were delicious! Fried perfectly and topped with sauce, lobster and Parmesan. The Parmesan added something special to this dish! For my main I had the Red Fish lunch special and I had it "shack style" which meant they added Parmesan cream sauce with green onions and crawfish to my blackened fish. The serving size was perfect for lunch and the fish was cooked perfectly! This was my first time trying red fish and I am a fan now! My husband got the red fish tacos and they were not lacking in the filling department! We both had fries and they were seasoned so well and crispy! The only thing that keeps this from 5 stars is we did spend $77 on lunch but it is the beach so that is typical. Overall I would go back and plan to! It was a great experience and being on the water makes it even more enjoyable!

Had a great time here. This was the first place we hit on our Florida adventure. Waited at the bar until a table opened. They have a nice selection of canned beers and all reasonable priced. There's also a small gift shop in the back. The restaurant is right on the water and we had beautiful sunset views. Our server did an excellent job attending to our needs. I didn't feel like I was waiting long for anything. I ordered the shrimp tacos and boy were they bursting with flavor. The seafood here is some of the freshest we've had all trip. Very good food and quality too. I highly recommend this place. You will not be disappointed with anything you order.

We drove about 40 minutes from our condo to this place. We went here last night and it was busy but the restaurant was not completely full. The food was okay, maybe we ordered the wrong items. I got the seafood pasta and it had a lot of butter, so it was super greasy and salty. The salad was good. The fries were crispy. The server lady was nice. The view was good. We sat inside near the door so when the door open I we can feel some colder air from the outside since it was kind of cold here in Destin this week.

The Shack was recommended to us by our Uber Driver as she was taking us to our Hotel. We tried it our first day for lunch and have been back 2 more times after that. We will be back the next time we visit Ft. Walton Beach. Thank you for a great time.

This is probably my favorite seafood place in town. I travel here a few times a year and end up eating half my meals at the shack! The food is amazing. The prices are very fair. I love the local atmosphere and it's always a great experience.

Great experience. Friendly service. Excellent food. Cute location. I'd definitely go back. The crab dip and pita for appetizer was excellent! We each had dinner combos that included Fresh yummy salads. Mine was grilled redfish, grilled shrimp and the lobster crab cake. All delicious and enough leftovers for the next day. Definitely get cheesy grits for the side! Amazing!

The food was so good that we've returned to try something new while my sister and I were on vacation. Super friendly from the moment you walk in. The wait staff was attentive, always funny and you can tell they like their job. Everything we tried was excellent so I don't know what to tell you. Pick something and it'll be good!

A real seafood "shack" with great seafood. Nothing fancy just delicious. The crab legs are very good and others at the table loved the steamed shrimp. Make sure you get the crab dip appetizer (with extra pita chips). It's large and shareable for 4+ people. A large variety of cocktails and beers. I will be back
